I am pleased to announce that I have earned Gallup Certified Strengths Coaching Certification. My goal is to have PCS become a strengths-based school district. This would entail having every student and staff member complete the developmentally appropriate StrengthsFinder assessment and receive follow-up coaching to learn how they could use their talents on a daily basis to enhance all aspects of their lives. If you are interested in this topic, please send me an email message at email@example.com.
Superintendent's Welcome Message
Welcome to the Plattsmouth Community School District! It is an honor to lead an educational team that continues to take the District from good to great. The District has Board members, administrators, teachers, school social workers, counselors, nurses, and support staff that are dedicated to the mission of working in partnership (with the community) to ensure academic achievement, responsible behavior, and civic engagement for all students. Our district's mission calls us to work in partnership (with the community) to ensure academic achievement, responsible behavior, and civic engagement (for all students). We want to make it easy for you to bring your comments, questions, concerns, and compliments to us. Click on the Let's Talk tab on the top or right side of the page and give us your input.
I encourage you to click here and review the Districtís 2014-2015 State of the Schools Report. You will find socio-economic diversity, growth in student performance, competitive ACT scores, a high graduation rate, a low dropout rate, more than half of our teachers with Masterís degrees, a steadily decreasing total tax levy, and an average per pupil cost that has been below the State average for the last several years. Feel free to visit the Nebraska Department of Educationís State of the Schools Report website at www.education.ne.gov/documents/SOSR.html and see how we compare to other districts in Nebraska.
If you have questions, would like to schedule an on-site visit in one of our buildings, or simply want to find out more about how you can become actively involved in the education of our youth, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone at (402) 296-3361 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also check us out on twitter and facebook, with the links on the left side of this page and below.
Make today a great day. Enjoy the ride.
Dr. Richard E. Hasty, Superintendent
